Jim joined the Stampede on September 1, 1998 and has been in charge of the team's administration and business operations since the franchise's inception.
A 30-year veteran in the business of hockey management. It was Jim's love and enjoyment of Junior Hockey that led him to Sioux Falls and the USHL. Previously, Loria had worked in the National Hockey League, International Hockey League and Western Junior Hockey League circuits.
During his tenure with the Stampede, Loria has carefully crafted the team's image and yearly business plan. He has also spearheaded the organization's charitable foundation, an effort that has seen the club contribute more than $400,000 in cash donations to numerous children's charities during the Stampede's first eight seasons. The hard work and dedication exemplified by the Stampede led the club to being named USHL "Organization-of-the-Year" in 2002 and 2006. In addition, the Argus Leader (three times) and the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce have each saluted the Stampede for their business excellence in helping build a better community. Jim was awarded the Distinguished Sales & Marketing Award for 2007 by the local SME orginization.
Jim and his wife, Wendy (who serves as the Stampede Office Manager), make their home in Sioux Falls and have three daughters, Jaimee 25, Cali 23 and Nikki, 21.
