Big weekend homestand closes out regular season

Fun and playoff positioning on the line this weekend

The final two regular season home games take place this Friday and Saturday night at the PREMIER Center. The Herd have plenty of fun and lot's on the line for the games.

The Stampede enter the final weekend with Waterloo tied for second place in the Western Conference. The top two teams in the conference receive a first-round bye. Waterloo holds the tiebreaker should the two teams end the season with the same number of points. Waterloo has a home-and-home weekend series against Dubuque this weekend.

The Stampede will need to surpass the Black Hawks in total points to take home the second seed and a bye. If the Herd finish in second, they will host Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals on either Friday, April 19 or Sunday, April 22. If the Stampede finish in third place, they will host Sioux City in a best-of-three first round series starting next Tuesday, April 16th at the PREMIER Center. The First 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free Stampede team poster, compliments of Innovative Office Solutions.  A Kids Zone will be available near the Hall of Fame Area where there will be inflatables and other games for kids to enjoy from 6-7:15 PM. Fans are encouraged to sign up at the Stampede sales table for a chance to take part in an on-ice contest during the 2nd intermission where one lucky fan could come home with 2 season tickets for the 2019-20 season! The Stampede will be saluting the best fans in the USHL during the night as well.


In the final regular season home game of the season, the Stampede host Des Moines on Take My Jersey Night. The Kids Zone will be available outside the Hall of Fame Area once again from 6-7:15 PM with inflatables and games. The Stampede will be welcoming some Make-A-Wish families to the game along with kids from all over the area thanks to area businesses who graciously donated tickets to the game.

Fans can purchase raffle tickets during the game for a chance to take home one of the Stampede’s third jerseys which are throwbacks to the inaugural season. The first half of the jerseys will be raffled off during the first intermission with the remaining jerseys during the second intermission. Fans will be allowed to select their favorite jersey based on the order in which their number is called. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Winners will get a chance to meet the player right after the game on the ice and receive their jersey right off their backs.
