One of the most entertaining games of the season is here as the Stampede host Pink in the Rink Night, presented by Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital tonight (Friday). The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Stampede magnetic schedule and the first 500 females 18-and-older will receive a free clear bag Stampede clutch purse, compliments of Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital.
Fans will be entertained from the moment they enter the building. Doors open at 6 PM and families can walk straight back to the Hall of Fame area and enjoy the all-new Bounce Around Inflatables Kids Zone. Inflatables and games will be available at no charge for kids to enjoy from 6 to 7:15 PM.
Fans can then head up the stairs and grab a “I Fight For Sign” and fill it out. The Stampede will take time during the 2nd period to ask fans to hold up their signs as we recognize those who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer.
At 7 PM the Stampede will honor 24 brave women who have had breast cancer touch their lives in a special on-ice ceremony. The club will recognize the women as they take part in a special ceremonial puck drop.
The team will play on pink ice and wear specially designed jerseys for the game. Fans will have a chance to win a jersey through a raffle during the game. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the American Cancer Society.
