Sioux Falls, SD—The Sioux Falls Stampede along with the Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association, Aberdeen Cougars, Brookings Rangers, the Scheels IcePlex and Denny Sanford PREMIER Center announced today the second annual “Hockey Day in South Dakota” is set to take place this Saturday, Jan. 4. The afternoon will feature a total of 13 hockey games, three to take place at the PREMIER Center.
The PREMIER Center will host the Sioux Falls Lady Flyers varsity team against the Aberdeen Cougars at 12:15 p.m. The Flyers boys Varsity team will play host to Brookings at 2:15 p.m. in another rivalry game. The day concludes at 7:05 p.m. that evening when the Stampede play host to the National Team Development Program under-17 team inside the PREMIER Center.
A full slate of games is planned at the Scheels IcePlex, starting at 12 p.m., and includes the Sioux Falls Flyers Pewee C White 2 team versus Watertown. The Brandon Valley Ice Cats will play a full slate of games at the IcePlex during the day as well. Click here to view the entire Hockey Day South Dakota schedule.
Tickets for the games at the PREMIER Center are just $12 each and will be valid for both Flyers games as well as the Stampede game that night. Fans can purchase their tickets in advance through the Stampede office or the day of the game at the PREMIER Center. Portions of each ticket sale will benefit the Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association.
The Stampede return to action tomorrow night for a special New Year’s Eve tilt against the Des Moines Buccaneers at 6:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive free party favors thanks to Dental Solutions with doors opening at 5 p.m. Kids can enjoy inflatables and games between 5 and 6:15 p.m. and a free photo booth will be available all game. Be sure to bring your skates and skate with your favorite players right after the game. Tickets are available at the KELOLAND Box Office inside the PREMIER Center or any Ticketmaster outlet.
