Statement Regarding 2020 Tryout Camp
The Stampede and the Scheels Ice Plex have mutually agreed to keep the doors closed to the general public for tryout camp this season for the health and safety of players, staff and fans. Stampede camp will begin on Tuesday, July 28 and run through Friday, July 31.
Only families traveling with players will be allowed inside the rink. Everyone entering the rink will be screened and have their temperature taken and recorded, with mandatory mask wearing while in the arena. Players not on the ice will not be permitted inside the rink and family members will only be allowed to watch games of their own family.
We acknowledge the level of disappointment this news will bring to a hockey community waiting for more on-ice action, but want to ensure we keep everyone involved with our camp safe and healthy. We look forward to being able to open camp up to the general public next summer.
We are also excited to announce that fans will have the opportunity to watch the full tryout camp in a digital format. Game times and streaming information will be made available prior to camp starting early next week.
We look forward to getting back inside the PREMIER Center in early October to play in front of the best fans in the USHL. Until then, we ask you to practice social distancing and be safe!
