The Stampede’s annual Pink in the Rink Night, presented by Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital will take place this Friday, February 12th at 7:05 PM. Doors will open at 6 PM sharp and the first 1,000 fans will receive a free Stampede Pink in the Rink t-shirt, compliments of Sioux Falls Specialty Hospital.
The t-shirt giveaway will take place in the Hall of Fame area. Fans are encouraged to enter through the main entrance and head straight to the Hall of Fame Area, located under the stairs on the lobby (KELOLAND Box Office) level.
Fans can then head up the stairs and grab a “I Fight For Sign” and fill it out. The Stampede will take time during the 2nd period to ask fans to hold up their signs as we recognize those who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer.
Prior to puck drop the Stampede will honor some breast cancer survivors with a ceremonial puck drop and will encourage all women who have battled or are currently battling breast cancer to stand and be saluted.
The game will be played on pink ice for this night only and players will be wearing specialty jerseys that will be given away through an online auction with DASH Auction to benefit the American Cancer Society. The club will unveil the specialty jerseys and more information on how to take part in the special auction later in the week.
Tickets for the game are on sale now through the KELOLAND Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet. For more information, contact the Stampede office at 605-275-4625. A reminder to fans, the Stampede will also be home on Monday, February 15th to face Lincoln at 6:30 PM. Season ticket holders should use their tickets labeled December 13th for that game.
