Will represent Canada at IIHF U18 World Championship

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Hockey Canada has announced that Stampede forward Cole Sillinger was selected to compete with Canada’s National Men’s Under-18 Team for the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship in Frisco and Plano, Texas. The tournament will take place from April 26 to May 6.

Sillinger, who joined the team on loan from the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League (WHL), has had a strong offensive presence since arriving to Sioux Falls on January 10. The 2021 NHL Draft prospect currently leads the team in scoring with 42 points on 22 goals and 20 assists in 29 games. He recently skated in the Biosteel All-American game in Plymouth, Michigan, featuring the top American-born prospects for the draft.

He will complete his Stampede and United States Hockey League (USHL) career in back-to-back games this weekend against the Waterloo Black Hawks. Fans can catch both games on KELO News Talk 1320-AM, 105.1-FM, 107.9 FM, KELO.com or watch via HockeyTV.com.
