Stampede release 2021-22 regular season schedule

Home Opener set for October 9th

Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Stampede released their 2021-22 regular season schedule on Friday. The Herd will open the season at the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh for two games between September 25 and 26 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks and defending Clark Cup champion Chicago Steel. The club will open at home on Saturday, Oct. 9 against the Lincoln Stars at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

The regular season schedule consists of 62 games comprised of mainly Western Conference opponents for the second consecutive season. The full home schedule features 29 weekend dates: Friday (10), Saturday (16), Sunday (3) and a lone game on Tuesday, Dec. 28 against the Omaha Lancers. Game start times and a complete promotional schedule will be released at a later date.

Fans will again be treated to more rivalry matchups at the PREMIER Center. The Herd takes on rivals Fargo and Sioux City a total of 10 times each during the regular season divided evenly at home and on the road. The reminder of opponents includes the defending Western Conference regular season champion Tri-City Storm (four home, five road), Omaha Lancers (five home, four road) and Lincoln Stars (four home, five road) nine times, the Waterloo Black Hawks (four home, three road) seven times and Des Moines Buccaneers (three home and away) six times.

The Musketeers will visit Sioux Falls for the first time on Friday, Oct. 15 and the Force on Saturday, Nov. 20. For the first time ever, the Stampede will host a New Year’s Day game at the PREMIER Center against Fargo. The regular season will conclude on Saturday, Apr. 23 on home ice against the Force.
