Saturday night games complete at camp

hree games took place Saturday night at Stampede tryout camp at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis. Each game featured two, 25-minute halves.

In the first game, Kyle Schemp (Traverse City) scores twice to lead Team Blue over Team Gold, 3-2 in the first game of the night session Saturday. Austin Ho (L.A. Jr. Kings) also scored for Blue while Dalton Bew (Boston Bulldogs) and Connor Valesano (Duluth East) scored for Team Gold.

In the second game of the night session, Team Red topped Team Green, 2-1 in a shootout. Dylan McLaughlin and Dylan Steman scored for Red in the shootout while Kent Sherrer scored for Blue. Steman had a goal in regulation for Red while Brady Burzynski scored for Team Green.

In the final game of the evening, Team Navy skated past Team White, 4-0. All four goals took place during the first half. Thomas Forgione (Cedar Rapids) got things going just seconds into the game with a goal. Up 2-0, with under seven minutes remaining in the half, Jake O'Borsky tallied the first of his two goals at 6:55 when Will Graber (Colorado Thunderbirds) took the puck behind Team White's net and centered in the slot to O'Borsky who blasted a shot into the net. O'Borsky would strike again with 1:30 left in the half when he broke free down the right wing side and wristed a shot into the back of the net to give Team Blue a 4-0 cushion.

Both teams went back and forth in the second half, but neither team would score and Team Navy secured a 4-0 victory.

Camp resumes Sunday at 9 AM when Team Gold faces Team Red. There will be three games during the morning session before the rosters are cut for the All-Star Game Sunday night. There will also be a "Young Guns" game at 4 PM on Sunday before the first All-Star Game at 6:45 PM. Updates will be available on Facebook, Twitter and sfstampede.com
