Sioux Falls, SD--The Sioux Falls Stampede are pleased to announced the club raised $5,100 for South Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Andrew Steen Friday night at the arena! $4,100 was raised at the game through chuck-a-puck and fan donations while the Stampede donated another $1,000. All the money will be given to Steen’s family for his medical recovery.
The trooper suffered a serious head injury on October 17th during a high-speed chase in Sioux Falls. His long-time friend, South Dakota Trooper Sergeant, Steve Swenson dropped the ceremonial first puck in honor of Steen at the game on Friday.
The Stampede would like to thank all our fans who helped make the night a success and wish nothing but the best for trooper Steen in his recovery!
