STAMPEDE GAME DAY AT TRI-CITY 12-7-12
After playing 15 of their first 21 games at home, the Stampede will begin the first of four straight road games tonight in Kearney, Neb. against Tri-City. The Herd are 2-1-0 against the Storm this season, winning games 5-2 & 5-0 while losing 5-2.
The Stampede will be looking to end a three-game winless streak, their longest of the season. Last weekend, Sioux Falls dropped back-to-back games at home for the first time all season, falling 5-1 to Des Moines and 2-1 to Lincoln. The Herd are still 13-7-1 and tied for second place in the Western Conference.
Tri-City enters tonight’s game looking to end a two-game winless streak after being swept in Fargo last weekend. On Friday, the Storm fell in overtime, 4-3 and on Saturday they fell 5-2. They are still 3-1-1 in their last five games and starting to turn the corner and make a push up the Western Conference standings. They stand at 10-10-2 and 5-6-0 on home ice.
After tonight, the Herd are in action again on Sunday when they play in Sioux City against the Musketeers at 5:05 PM.
