ABOUT TONIGHT’S GAME:

The Stampede return to the Ice Box for the first time since September 28th when they fell to Lincoln, 5-1 in the season opener. Sioux Falls is 1-2-0 against the Stars this season, including a 2-1 loss at home back on December 1st. The Stars enter tonight’s game just one point back of the Stamped for second place in the Western Conference.

The Stampede were idle last night while Lincoln fell to Omaha in a shootout, 2-1. The Stars lead the league in penalty minutes with 661 (28.7 minutes per-game) and seven shorthanded goals for this season.

Whoever is leading after two periods should have the edge tonight, the Stampede are 12-0-0 when leading after two periods and the Stars are 12-0-2. After starting the season 0-2-1 on the road, the Stampede are 3-0-1 in their last four road games.

After tonight, the Stampede will travel to Omaha to face the Lancers in the brand new Ralston Arena at 5:05 PM. Sioux Falls returns home next weekend, December 21st and 22nd for games against Tri-City and Cedar Rapids. Tickets are available through the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.
