This is just the second meeting of the season between the two times and the Herd’s first visit to the brand new Ralston Arena. The Stampede defeated the Lancers, 5-3 back on October 5th in Sioux Falls. Kyle Schempp led the way with a goal and three assists while Charlie Lindgren made 36 saves in goal.

STAMPEDE UPDATE: The Stampede are coming off a 4-3 shootout victory over Lincoln last night at The Ice Box. The Herd rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period to tie the game and eventually force overtime and a shootout. In the shootout, the Herd got goals from Dennis Kravchenko and Zeb Knutson while Charlie Lindgren stopped both shooters he faced to clinch the victory. The win moved the Stampede into sole possession of first place in the West.

LANCERS UPDATE: The Lancers are coming off a 2-1 loss at Sioux City Saturday night on the road. Despite the loss, the Lancers have still won 10 of their last 13 games and have climbed the Western Conference standings and trail the first place Stampede by just five points. Today, the Lancers acquired forward Robbie Baillargeon from Indiana in a trade. He is expected to play tonight and has 15 points (6g, 9a) in 25 games. Last year, he recorded 48 points (14g. 34a) in 54 games with the Ice, third most on the team.
