Herd return home for first time since January 9th

Stampede return home to face Waterloo this Friday!

The Sioux Falls Stampede (29-10-2) return home for the first time since January 9th this Friday when they host Waterloo at 7:05 PM. Don't miss the hottest team in the USHL on their home ice! Tickets are available through the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office or any Ticketmaster location! 

The Stampede currently lead the Western Conference and have a seven point lead over second place Fargo and Waterloo! They currently trail Dubuque by five points for the top record in the league. 


Stampede finish nine-game road trip  with 6-2-1 mark

The Stampede went 1-1-1 last week to close out their nine-game road trip with a 6-2-1 record. Last Wednesday, the Herd fell 5-3 in Omaha, but rebounded Friday for a 4-1 win at Lincoln. On Saturday, Sioux Falls earned a point in a shootout loss at Sioux City. 

The Stampede are 16-3-1 in their last 20 games. 


 

Registration open for Wiener Dog Races Next Saturday

The 6th annual Sioux Nation Pet Clinic "Wiener Dog Races" are almost here! The races are next Saturday, Feb. 16!  This is an event that you won't want to miss as 40 wiener dogs will compete for the championship on arena ice in between the first and second periods.

Redmond & Oleksiak make NHL debuts

Former Stampede defensemen Zach Redmond and Jamie Oleksiak made their NHL debuts last week with Winnipeg and Dallas respectively. 

They became the 17th and 18th former Stampede players to skate in the NHL.

Redmond to appear on Inside Stampede Hockey today!

Former Stampede defenseman Zach Redmond is scheduled to appear on Inside Stampede Hockey today with Jim Olander on KWSN radio (1230-AM & 98.1-FM). Zach was captain of the Stampede's Clark Cup championship team and made his NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets last week. Hear about his experience playing in his first NHL game and how his time in Sioux Falls helped him to get where he is today!

Stampede back home next weekend!

Get your tickets now for back-to-back home games next Friday and Saturday night at the arena! On Friday, the Herd host the Omaha Lancers and on Saturday, Sioux Falls will entertain the Lincoln Stars.

Vanek leads NHL in scoring

Former Stampede star Thomas Vanek continued his hot play last week, posting 10 points in just four games! Last Thursday, he tallied a hat trick and two assists for Buffalo in their 7-4 win at Boston.         Click here to see the goals!

He leads the NHL in scoring with 19 points (8g, 11a) and is a plus-7 in just eight games this season. He has points in all eight games he has played and is on pace to score over 100 points in this season's abbreviated 48-game schedule. 

The Sabres return to action tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they play at Ottawa.
