ABOUT TONIGHT'S GAME:

 

· The Stampede square off against the Waterloo Black Hawks for the fourth and final time during the regular season. The home team has won each of the first three matchups between the two teams.

· Sioux Falls defeated Waterloo 8-3 in their last meeting back on January 9th.

· Tonight is the Stampede’s first home game since January 9th. The Herd have played the last nine straight games away from home.

· Sioux Falls went 6-2-1 on their nine-game road swing and are now 12-6-2 on the road.

· At 17-4-0, the Stampede have the second best home record in the league. Only Dubuque at 18-1-0 has a better record.

· The Stampede enter tonight with a seven point lead on second place Waterloo and Fargo with 23 games remaining on the  schedule.

· Sioux Falls holds a 22-0-1 recording when leading after two periods this season.

· The Black Hawks are 3-1-1 over their last five games and are coming off a 7-3 win over Green Bay last Saturday.

· Waterloo has a loaded offense. They have five of the top seven scorers in the league in Taylor Cammarata, Justin Kloos, Vince Hinostroza, Zach Stepan and J.T. Stenglein.

· The Hawks lead the USHL in goals (187), assists (317) and points (504). They also lead the league in powerplay goals with 53.

· Waterloo has the top powerplay unit in the league, clicking at 27%, but rank last in the league on the penalty kill at 77.2%.

· The Black Hawks are a perfect 18-0-0 when leading after two periods this season.

· Tomorrow, Sioux Falls has a rare night off while Waterloo is at Dubuque.

 

KEY PLAYERS:

 

· C.J. Franklin has 13 points (7g, 6a) in his last 10 games.

· Tony Calderone has six points (3g, 3a) in his last five games.

· Charlie Lindgren is 6-2-1 with a 2.88 GAA and a .886 save percentage in his last nine games. 

· Taylor Cammarata has recorded at least one goal in four straight games for Waterloo. Zach Stepan and Mike Huntebrinker have scored at least one goal in three straight games.

· Justin Kloos has points in seven straight games for a total of 18 during that stretch.

· Vince Hinostroza has six points (2g, 4a) against the Herd this season.
