Stampede face Bucs in Des Moines tonight!

Herd look to bounce back from Wednesday's loss

The Stampede face the Bucs for the fifth time this season. The Herd own a 3-1-0 mark against the Bucs, including a 7-1 win at Des Moines in their last meeting on January 11th. The Bucs had 171 penalty minutes in the game and the Herd scored four times on the powerplay. Sam Rothstein has five assists in three games against the Bucs while Zeb Knuston has four goals. Charlie Lindgren has faced the Bucs twice this year, going 1-0 with a 1.79 GAA and a .923 save percentage.
The Stampede are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Fargo Force on Wednesday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. The loss moved the Force within five points of the Stampede for first place in the West and kept the Herd six points behind Dubuque in the chase for the Anderson Cup. Fargo is idle tonight though so Sioux Falls has a chance to regain their seven point lead.
The Bucs enter tonight's game on a six-game losing streak and lost last Sunday to Dubuque, 6-3. The Bucs were 15-13-1 at the Christmas break, but have gone 5-15-2 since. Axel Wemmenborn leads the way with 29 points (8g, 21a) in 48 games. The Bucs are looking for their first win since Feb.
9th at Sioux CIty and their first home win since January 12th against the U.S. Under-17 Development Program.
The Bucs will face the Stampede again on April 12th in Sioux Falls.
