The Sioux Falls Stampede (39-14-2) can clinch a playoff spot by earning one point tomorrow night when they host Tri-City at the Sioux Falls Arena at 7:05 PM.
Should the Stampede win or earn a point in overtime/shootout, they will qualify for the post-season for the seventh time in eight seasons. The Herd enter the week with a seven point lead over Fargo for first place in the Western Conference.
Tickets are available for the game through the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office and any Ticketmaster location.
Sioux Falls currenlty sits just three points behind the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the Anderson Cup race, awarded to the team with the most points in the USHL. The Herd won the Anderson Cup during the 2005-06 season when they finished with a franchise best record of 43-13-4.
Including Wednesday's home game against Tri-City, just nine games remain in the regular season. This weekend, the Herd travel to Lincoln and Kearney, Neb. for the final times during the regular season.
On Friday, the Herd will face the Lincoln Stars (33-20-3) at the Ice Box. Lincoln has been hot of late, winning five of their last seven games and trail second place Fargo by just three points.
Saturday night will be a rematch from Wednesday when the Herd face the Tri-City Storm for the final time this season. Tri-City enters the week with 21-26-7 record and in sixth place in the West.
