The Sioux Falls Stampede square off against I-29 rival Fargo for back-to-back games at the PREMIER Center this Friday and Saturday night. Puck drop is 7:05 PM each night and tickets are available through the KELOLAND Box Office or by clicking here.
The Herd enter the weekend in fourth place in the Western Conference with a 14-9-6 mark on the year, just one point behind third place Waterloo and three points behind second place Tri-City. These are the final two games of the month of January for the Herd who will close out January with five straight road games. Friday’s game will mark the official halfway point of the season for the Stampede who will play 13 home games and 17 road games during the second half of the season.
Fargo enters the weekend with the best record in the league at 18-7-2. Five of their seven regulation losses have come against the Stampede who are a perfect 5-0-0 against their rivals this season. After this weekend, Sioux Falls and Fargo will still square off three more times during the season, once in February and then not again until the final two games of the regular season. Fresh off a weekend sweep of the Chicago Steel, the Force are 6-1-3 in their last 10 games.
Friday night is Faith and Family Night, presented by Restoration Generation. Stampede players will be sharing their faith and hockey during the game and a few lucky fans will go home with tickets to the ResGen Men’s Summit on January 27th.
Saturday is Buffalo Wild Wings Night. Blazin Bill will be at the game handing out some goodies and fans can take part in some sauce sampling in the main concourse during the game. Stay in your seats during the intermission for Blazin Bill’s obstacle course and wing eating contest at center ice!
