The Sioux Falls Stampede will face the Lincoln Stars in the first round of the Clark Cup Playoffs beginning Tuesday at the PREMIER Center. The first round is a best-of-three with all three potential games taking place inside the PREMIER Center. The winner of the series will advance and either play Waterloo or Omaha in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Tickets for Games 1 and 2 are on sale now through the KELOLAND Box Office at the PREMIER Center or any Ticketmaster outlet. Puck drops are 7:05 PM for each night. Season ticket holders can pick up their first round playoff tickets at the Stampede office Monday (8 AM-5 PM), Tuesday (8 AM-4 PM) or at Guest Services prior to Game 1 on Tuesday night. The Stampede enter the series at the #4 seed with a 32-19-9 record and 73 points while the Stars are the #5 seed with a 35-23-2 and 72 points. Sioux Falls went 1-2-1 against the Stars and 1-1-0 at the PREMIER Center. Both teams featured a balanced scoring attack with four lines that can score goals.
The Stampede stumbled a bit down the stretch, going 0-4-1 in their last five games while the Stars have been one of the hottest teams in the USHL going 16-3-1 in their last 20 games. Sioux Falls went 15-9-6 at home this season while the Stars were 16-12-1 on the road.
