Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Stampede announced their 2018 preseason schedule on Tuesday. The Herd will play five exhibition games, including one at the Scheels IcePlex, prior to the start of the regular season on Sept. 27.
Sioux Falls will play host to the Fargo Force on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:05 p.m. inside the Scheels IcePlex. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased the night of the game. Season ticket holders will receive tickets free of charge and can pick them up during the season ticket holder party. More details on the pickup party will be made available in the coming weeks. Concessions including hot dogs, pizza, nachos, popcorn, soda and beer will be available for purchase during the game. The Stampede Slap Shot Pro Shop will be open with team merchandise available for purchase as well.
The Stampede open preseason play in Omaha during the I-80 Cup Sept. 14 and 15. Sioux Falls will face Tri-City at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 and then square off against the host Lancers at 7:05 p.m. on Sept. 15. The Stampede will then travel to Sioux Center, Iowa on Sept. 18 to face Sioux City at 6:30 p.m. The Herd will close out preseason play that weekend with a game in Fargo on Sept. 21 at 7:05 p.m. followed by their home game at the IcePlex on Sept. 22 at 7:05 p.m.
Stampede players report to Sioux Falls Labor Day weekend and begin practice the week of Sept. 3. The Herd open the regular season at the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh on Sept. 27 against Central Illinois. The Stampede’s home opener is set for Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7:05 p.m. against Fargo at the PREMIER Center.
