STAMPEDE UPDATE:  In a game that was closer than the final score would indicate, the Herd fell 7-3 last night in Kearney to the Tri-City Storm. Brian Chambers and Jami Krannila tallied first period goals for the Herd who were tied 2-2 at the end of one period with the Storm. Tri-City got two quickly goals early in the second to take a 4-2 lead and never looked back. The Stampede had several grade A scoring chances in the period, but were shut down by the USHL’s top goaltender in Isaiah Saville who stopped 28 shots on the night.

The Herd are glad to see a new month upon them as they went just 2-6-0 during the month of November. After tonight’s contest the Stampede will play six of their next eight games on home ice.

BUCS UPDATE: The Bucs dropped their second straight game last night, falling 4-2 to the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Matt Brown and Kaden Bohlsen tallied the only goals of the game for the Bucs while Roman Durny stopped 28 shots in goal. Despite the back-to-back losses, the Bucs still hold a 12-7-2 record heading into tonight’s game and 9-4-0 on home ice.

The Bucs are led by forward Matt Brown who is fourth in the league in scoring with 26 points (16g, 10a) in 21 games and TJ Walsh who has 23 points (4g, 19a) in 21 games this season. Goaltender Roman Durny enters tonight with a 10-6-1 record, a 2.80 GAA and a .907 save percentage.
