Stampede host Waterloo and Des Moines this weekend

Stampede look to extend home winning streak

The Sioux Falls Stampede continue their homestand this weekend with games against Waterloo and Des Moines at the PREMIER Center. The Herd have won five straight home games and went 8-1-1 during the month of December. 

Friday night's contest is presented by Wheelco while Saturday's game is presented the South Dakota Air National Guard

The Stampede enter the weekend tied for fourth place in the Western Conference with a 16-8-3 record and hold a 9-2-1 mark on home ice this season. The Herd are 3-0-0 since the holiday break, topping Waterloo, Fargo and Lincoln.

Waterloo enters the weekend in third place with an 18-7-4 record and have won two straight games after defeating Youngstown 4-3 on Saturday and Madison 4-0 on Monday night. The Hawks are 7-3-0 in their last 10 games.

Des Moines enters the weekend in second place and with a 19-9-3 record. The Bucs are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and are coming off a 6-4 victory over Green Bay on New Year's Eve.
