TONIGHT’S GAME: The Sioux Falls Fighting Wiener Dogs host the Omaha Lancers for the third time this season. Sioux Falls is 2-0-0 against Omaha, including a 4-1 victory in their last meeting on January 11th. After tonight these two teams will meet two more times in March, both in Omaha.
FIGHTING WIENER DOGS UPDATE: Sioux Falls earned a 6-2 victory over the Musketeers last night. Six different players scored goals while Blake Bride, Brian Chambers, Carl Berglund and Cade Borchardt all tallied a goal and an assist in the victory. The Musketeers grabbed the first goal of the game, but Sioux Falls responded with two goals seven seconds apart from Bride and Anthony Romano to take a 2-1 lead. Chambers scored late in the period to extend the lead to 3-1. Sioux Falls would get two more in the second and never looked back. Alec Calvaruso stopped 19 of 21 shots to earn his 13th win of the season.
LANCERS UPDATE: A month ago it looked like the Lancers were starting to prepare for next season. Ten games later and they are only six points out of a playoff spot. The Lancers improved to 7-0-3 in their last 10 games after a 3-1 victory over Fargo last night. Cole Kodsi, Zach Plucinski and Blais Richartz all tallied goals in the win. Omaha led 1-0 late in the game, but scored two goals with less than three minutes remaining to secure the victory.
Akira Schmid stopped 26 of 27 shots to earn the win in goal. The native of Switzerland has gone 5-0-1 with a 1.17 GAA and a .957 save percentage in his last six starts to help put the Lancers back into the playoff picture.

RACES: Two races will take place during the first intermission with the top two finishers from each race advancing to the Final Four championship during the second intermission. An awards ceremony will take place right after the championship race.
